Home of PropBlurs. UPDATE 04/10/2022 Year 22 of PropBlurs
I am not Ukrainian, but I want to help refugees in the current war.
Beginning 3/10/22, thru all of March and April 2022, I will donate 100% of PropBlur sales
to a bonafide charity to help Ukrainian refugees. This is the entire sales amount of each sale.
I cannot donate the amount you pay for postage cause I have to pay the USPS to mail your order.
I will announce the name of the charity after I do some research - the money must to to the
refugees, not some bogus charity, so I will do my due diligence. I encourage my customers
to donate in their own ways, too, according to what they can afford.
A customer informs me that a World War II tabletop miniatures wargame from Battlefront Miniatures
in New Zealand called FLAMES OF WAR includes 1/144 scale aircraft. PropBlurs are available
in 1/144th scale, so it might be a nice match for playing Flames of War. Let me know if you play
wargames and how you use PropBlurs on your aircraft. Sounds like fun.
For technical questions & questions about SIZE, please first see my FAQ section.
Also, the Gallery is not just to show Pretty Pictures. Some wonderful regular customers
have taken the time to not only show their finished models, but there are some great useful
images to illustrate techniques in the Gallery.
See severe PropBlur modifications for WarGaming in Pictures #19-21. This was done for two
reasons: reducing the feathering portion of the PropBlur makes them more durable during wargaming
and packing / unpacking, but it also illustrates a faster moving propeller.
Other pictures in the Gallery show steps in the process of PropBlurs being modified: Photos #6-9, #46,
and #53-56
And among my favorite photo is photo #75 from Daniel Jenkins showing a 1/72nd scale model fitted with 1/48th scale
PropBlurs. This illustrates how considering all options pays off. Disregard scale, focus on matching actual PropBlur
size options to SIZE of your aircraft's propeller on the aircraft model you are building. Look up the size of the propellers
on the prototype plane you are building, use the reference dimensions in my FAQ chart of PropBlur sizes to find the best
match for your project. Consider modifying PropBlurs to get the look you want. PropBlurs are relatively easy to modify
so you can get the effect YOU want. You don't have to consider PropBlurs as a finished product - you can change them
to suit your needs.
Thank you for your orders, encouraging notes, comments, suggestions, requests and photos.
My goal continues to be to provide PropBlur model accessories at a reasonable price so
they can be used by almost anyone.
TRANSIT TIMES continue to be IMPACTED during this Pandemic, but there are encouraging signs of a return to pre-
covid normality as the Pandemic transitions to endemic.
Note that I can no longer mail 12" rulers outside the United States - due to their length, they trigger much higher
postage rates, so it makes no sense to pay over $23 postage for a $10 item. Thank you for understanding.
Basic Notes: When I mail your order, you receive an saying I mailed your order. Please be patient for the postal
folks to deliver to you, the Covid impacts are still slowing the mail. But, IF you are concerned, contact me.
Transit times refer to the time the postal folks take to deliver to you AFTER I give your order to the Post Office.
